The Las Vegas Premier Motorcycle Auction will get underway on January 12th at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, and when it does, it will have a few race-spec motorcycles from Michael Jordan Motorsports going under the hammer.
MJM, who just announced that both Ben Bostrom and Roger Lee Hayden will be returning to the team to compete in the AMA Superbike series for 2012, will be auctioning off five motorcycles.
"We're both honored and excited to have been entrusted with the presentation of these select Michael Jordan Motorsports team bikes for the first time at a public sale," said Donnie Gould, president of Auctions America by RM. "Each represents an important chapter in MJM's history and, in turn, presents an exclusive ownership opportunity for savvy collectors."
Jordan will auction off a race-winning 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000 that was ridden by Aaron Yates and Geoff May in the Superstock class. A Yamaha YZF-R1 AMA Superbike will also go up for auction. The Yamaha was ridden by Montez Stewart during MJM first year in competitive racing.
Superstock motorcycles from the 2005, 2006, and 2007 season will also be going up for auction. The bikes will be presented by Upper Deck.

"Upper Deck Authenticated prides itself on offering collectors the most premium and authentic collectibles in the market. We are pleased to provide five remarkable, unique, one-of- a-kind motorcycles from Michael Jordan Motorsports to the public for the first time and excited to be teaming up with Auctions America to offer the bikes at their debut Las Vegas sale," said Jason Masherah, vice president of marketing and business development of Upper Deck.
The five motorcycles from Michael Jordan Motorsports make up just a small portion of the Las Vegas Premier Motorcycle Auction. The auction, which will be held on January 12th-14th, will feature more than 400 motorcycles.
