The AMA Pro Racing series will be heading to at least 8 events in 2012. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course has just renewed its contract for the 2012 season and will host an event in Mid-July.
This will be the 30th consecutive year that the AMA has traveled to Lexington, Ohio, to race on the 2.4 mile Mid-Ohio course.
Last year, The Suzuki team of Blake Young and Tommy Hayden dominated the Mid-Ohio weekend. Young took the pole position and Saturday's race victory. Hayden captured the checkered flag on Sunday.
