A week after grabbing the East coast division title, the young gun award, and the overall AMA Supersport championship, James Rispoli is looking to add one more trophy to his collection. James "the Rocket" Rispoli will be racing at the Knoxville National Half Mile this weekend.
"After a long road racing season where I clinched the AMA Pro SuperSport title, I am excited to get back in the saddle of my dirttracker and get sideways again," Rispoli said. "My mechanic Dustin, with the help of RLJ Racing of Medina, NY, prepared me a fire-breathing 450 motor to race. I heard Knoxville should be fast and I can't wait to get on the track and let it all hang out."
Before starting his professional road racing career in the AMA, Rispoli made a name for himself on the dirt track. Rispoli will be able to get back to his roots this weekend on a CRF 450 at the Knoxville, Iowa half mile. Rispoli will also be racing at the Peoria, Illinois TT this weekend.
