Chris Fillmore currently leads the XR1200 standings, and tomorrow, he'll leads the Harley class off the line as the Harley rider took his fourth pole position of the season today. Fillmore beat out Steve Rapp, Tyler O'Hara, and Jeremy McWilliams during the qualifying session at the Brickyard.
Fillmore dropped more than a second off of his free practice time to set a 1:56.448 lap time during qualifying. Fillmore was almost bested by Steve Rapp, who finished the session just .007 seconds off the pace.
Tyler O'Hara and Jeremy McWilliams will complete the front row for tomorrow's race. McWilliams was the final rider to finish within a second of Fillmore's time.
Michael Barnes and Kyle Wyman took the 5th and 6th place positions, while morning pacesetter Jason DiSalvo couldn't do any better than 7th. Shawn Higbee will take the final spot on the second row.
The XR1200 class will have two races this weekend. After a morning warm-up session tomorrow, the Harleys will line up for a 4:10 race. On Sunday, the XR1200 class will race at 3:30. Both races will be broadcast on SpeedTV at 6:00 pm on Sunday.
