For the first time in over a hundred years, Harley-Davidson motorcycles roared inside the Brickyard. The XR1200 class completed their first free practice session earlier today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Jason DiSalvo was out in front.
DiSalvo, who is a regular in the Daytona Sportbike series, was riding the XR1200 for the first time this season. DiSalvo topped the testing session at Indy last week and kept his Latus Motors Harley out in front today during free practice.
Season leader Chris Fillmore ended the day in second, .42 seconds behind DiSalvo's pace setting time of 1'57.313.
Jeremy McWilliams, who won the inaugural XR1200 series in the UK, was the third fastest rider at Indy today. Fillmore and McWilliams were the only two riders to finish within a second of DiSalvo's pace.
Tyler O'Hara and Michael Beck rounded out the top five before Kyle Wyman crossed the line in 6th.
The XR1200 class will hit the track again later today for their qualifying session.
