DiSalvo Takes Daytona Sportbike Pole Position at Laguna Seca

DSB_PodiumThe top three riders in the Daytona Sportbike series will make up the front row during tomorrow's race. Jason DiSalvo will lead the way, while Josh Herrin and points leader Danny Eslick complete the front row.

DiSalvo, who currently sits in third in the overall standings, will start from the pole position during tomorrow's race. DiSalvo has been toward the top of the timesheets all weekend, and should be able to claim some valuable points tomorrow.

"We had a good idea about our setup heading into the weekend, and it's worked pretty well so far. We've been having a good weekend," DiSalvo said. "We have the top three up here. The top three in the championship. It's not surprising at all to have these two guys up here with me."

Josh Herrin was able to take the second spot on the front row, despite a crash at turn 3.

"It was my mistake more than anything," Herrin said. "But the guys built the bike back up. We'll be alright."

Danny Eslick will take the final spot on the front row, as the Daytona Sportbike series adapts the three man grid positions of the MotoGP.

"The Geico Suzuki has been working really well this weekend," Eslick said. "Laguna can be real tough on you, but when you have things working right, it makes things a lot easier."

Cameron Beaubier will start the second row with Tommy Aquino and Jake Holden, while Paul Allison, Dane Westby, and Corey West make up row three.
