It's sunny and hot in Ohio today as the AMA Pro Racing riders prepare for the final races of the weekend. The AMA Supersport, Daytona Sportbike, AMA Superbike, and XR1200 classes have all taken their morning warm-up sessions and are now making their final preparations for today's races.
Blake Young topped the morning warm-up session for the AMA Superbike riders. Young won yesterday's race by a thin margin over Josh Hayes and teammate Tommy Hayden. Roger Hayden was also hanging with the front group during yesterday's race, and should be challenging for a podium this afternoon.
For the Daytona Sportbike class, Danny Eslick topped the timesheets during the warm-up session. Eslick led for the majority of yesterday's race, but a determined Dane Westby took the lead at the end of the race to claim his first DSB victory.
James Rispoli lead the way for the AMA Supersport riders. Rispoli was the only rider who gave Dustin Dominguez a challenge yesterday as Dominguez gave Triumph their first AMA victory since 1999.
In the XR1200 class, Steve Rapp headed the warm-up session. Rapp was followed by Chris Fillmore, who set the lap record for the XR1200 class yesterday during the qualifying session, and Kyle Wyman.
