Rispoli Fastest, Dominguez Takes Pole Position After Q2

dustin_dominguez_profile_picThe AMA Supersport riders took to the track at 8:00 this morning for a cold and damp qualifying session. James Rispoli lead the pack, but Rispoli wasn't able to dip below Dustin Dominguez' time from Q1. Dominguez will be starting on the pole position, with Rispoli, Hayden Gillim, and Tomas Puerta joining him on the front row.

"We were fastest in the session," Rispoli said. "We just came up a little bit short. We're starting second on the front row, so we're pretty happy. Hopefully we can get off to a good start."

Dominguez finished the session three seconds behind Rispoli, but the Triumph rider's time from Q1 will give him the pole position. Dominguez took his second career AMA pole position today, and his first this year.

"We had a bad weekend at Barber," Dominguez said. "So to get the pole and that extra point, it's really great."

Hayden Gillim will start from the third spot on the grid, and Tomas Puerta will take the final spot on the front row.

Corey Alexander will start the second row ahead of Ryan Kerr, David Gaviria, and Miles Thornton.
