Danny Eslick topped the timesheets at Mid-Ohio today to claim the provisional pole position. Eslick was followed by Jake Holden, Jason DiSalvo, and Josh Herrin.
Eslick, who currently leads the series by four points ahead of Josh Herrin, was the only rider to dip below 1'30. Eslick has won three out of the last four races at Mid-Ohio, and says that he is pretty comfortable with the track.
"The track got better and better throughout the day," Eslick said. "There's just something about this place that I really like. It's really tight and twisty. It's just one of those tracks, I'm really comfortable here."
Eslick finished with a 1'29.723 lap time, but his pace was nearly matched by Holden. Holden finished just .3 seconds behind the pacesetter.
DiSalvo, Herrin, and Tommy Aquino were also close behind, all putting in laps within one second of Eslick's time.
