Josh Herrin has the most wins in the Daytona Sportbike series this year, but he’s still just shy of the top spot in the point standings. Herrin currently trails Danny Eslick by four points in the DSB.
After a controversial crash during the Daytona 200, Herrin was given a one race suspension. That, coupled with an unfortunate mechanical error at Barber Motorsports Park, have given the Yamaha rider two races where he scored no points.
Still, Herrin is riding toward the top of the leaderboard. Herrin took three consecutive wins (one at Miller Motorsports Park and the double at Road America) and just took another victory last weekend at Barber Motorsports Park.
The Daytona Sportbike series is half way over, and Herrin has established himself as one of the premier riders. Herrin had some bad luck during the first half of the season, but his superb riding has kept him in the game.
Here’s an update from Monster Energy Graves Yamaha Rider Josh Herrin.
