The AMA Supersport racers are lining up for the first race of the weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. Benny Solis will be starting from the pole position, and will be followed by David Gaviria, Corey Alexander, and Tomas Puerta.
Solis took both race wins at Infineon, and is clearly the man to beat today.

Row 2: Riad / Tarr / Wilson / Thornton
Row 3: Dimick / Ferreira / Lauritzen / Myers
The Supersport riders have taken off on their warm-up lap. The race will start shortly.
The Supersport riders are on the track, and the rain is coming down. This could be an ugly race.
And they're off!
Solis jumps out in front, followed by Gaviria, Puerta, and Alexander.
Solis is down!
Solis was leading when he lost the front end. The Honda rider slides into the mud. Solis is up and ok, but with a muddy break, may not be making it back to the track.
Gaviria now leads the race ahead of Puerta and Alexander.
Elena Myers shot up through the pack during the opening lap and is now riding in fourth behind Alexander.
Lap 2: Corey Alexander jumps up front. Alexander, Gaviria, Puerta.
Travis Ohge, who was fast in the wet during qualifying, passes Elena Myers.
The majority of the Supersport riders are lapping above 2'20. Ohge hust put in the fastest lap of the race with a 2'17.27 lap time, but he's still in fourth place.
Alexander and Gaviria are putting a little bit of a gap between themselves and third place rider Tomas Puerta.
Lap 3: Alexander puts on the speed. Alexander now has 2.7 seconds on Gaviria.
Alexander - Gaviria - Puerta - Ohge - Myers - Tarr - Riad - Lauritzen - Ferreira - Flores
Alexander puts in a 2'14.002 lap. He's really charging out there.
Gaviria, Puerta, and Ohge are riding in a group behind Alexander. Myers has fallen behind the top four riders by a few seconds.
Alexander continues to push the limits. Alexander puts in a 2'12 lap and now leads by five seconds.
Lap 5: Alexander betters his lap time again. Drops from a 2'12 to z 2'11.8. Alexander now leads by nearly nine seconds.
The top riders remain unchanged. Alexdander - Gaviria - Puerta - Ohge - Myers.
Flores goes down. Flores was riding in the top 10 but brings his Ducati into the mud to end his day.
Another one bites the dust. Riad, who ws riding in 6th behind Myers, brings his Yamaha off the track.
Halfway through the race, Corey Alexander has extended his lead to 13 seconds. If Alexander can keep his bike on two wheels, he should cruise to an easy victory.
Lap 7: Alexander laps at 2'10.59. The rest of the field is currently lapping at about 2'15 or above.
Gaviria is also starting to pull away. Gaviria has four seconds on Ohge.
Top 10: Alexander, Gaviria, Ohge, Puerta, Myers, Tarr, Ferreira, Lauritzen, Wilson, Hayman
Wilson goes down! Wilson loses the back end while riding in 9th.
It's a war of attrition out there. Another rider is down! Phil Horwitz goes down.
Lap 9: In the closing laps, Alexander has more than 20 seconds ahead of his competitors. Gaviria is being chased by Ohge, but Ohge will have to make up a three second gap to chase him. Puerta is following Ohge by .7 seconds, while Myers has fallen behind, 10 seconds behind Ohge.
Puerta and Ohge are battling for third place.
Lap 10: Alexander is starting to slow up in the front. Alexander has a 24 second lead, and has slowed his pace to a 2'14 lap time.
Alexander given the white flag. One more lap until victory.
Lap 12: Ohge pulls within .2 seconds of Puerta. We have a last lap battle.
Final Lap: Corey Alexander takes the victory!
Gaviria crosses the line in second. Ohge made the pass to take the final spot on the podium.
