Jason DiSalvo topped the timesheets today during the second qualifying session for the Daytona Sportbike riders at the Infineon Raceway in California. DiSalvo set a 1’39.257 lap time to secure his first pole position of the season.
DiSalvo came in second during Q1, but a fuel compliance issue erased his score from the timesheets.
“The crew was up until 1am flushing out the bikes and getting the A bike ready for today,” DiSalvo said. “So I felt like I had to get back out there and give it my all for the guys.”
DiSalvo beat out Josh Herrin by .13 seconds to claim the top spot. Herrin and DiSalvo will be joined by Jake Holden and Danny Eslick on the front row.
