Benny Solis was fast today at Infineon, and then he got faster. Solis led for the majority of the AMA Supersport session and on his last lap he set a 1’42.413 lap time.
Solis, who rode the only Honda on the grid, was the only rider to dip below the 1’43 mark, and he did it by more than half a second. Tomas Puerta came closest to keeping up with Solis, but fell close to a second short. Puerta ended the day with a 1’43.342 lap time, beating out fellow Colombian David Gaviria.
Travis Ohge finished in fourth, followed by Corey Alexander, Wyatt Farris, Greg McCullough, and Sebastiao Ferreira.
