Dan Johnsen has just been named the Director of Flat Track for the AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Series. Johnsen was previously the head of technical inspection of the AMA Pro Road Racing series.
Prior to his time with the AMA, Johnsen competed and worked in various racing series, including the AHRMA, CCS and WERA. Johnsen was also part of the 4&6 Racing Safety First team. He started working for the AMA in 2008 as an official, and was promoted to chief racing inspector in 2009.
"Dan has been an important part of our success in AMA Pro, and we feel very confident that he will bring his considerable skills to our important Flat Track activities," said David Atlas, COO and Managing Member of AMA Pro Racing.
The AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship starts on March 10th in Daytona.
