FMF To Sponsor KTM Off-Road Factory Team Hot

ktm_racingKTM and FMF will continue their relationship in the 2011 season. KTM has just announced that FMF will remain the title sponsor for the off-road factory team for the next three years.

FMF has been apart of the KTM team for a long time, but the 2010 season was the first time that FMF was the title sponsor. It was a successful partnership, as the KTM off-road team won two championships in 2010. With 6 racers on the 2011 FMF/KTM team, they could see equal that success.

For 2011, KTM will have two of the best WORCS riders in the world. Kurt Caselli, the 2010 WORCS champion, and Mike Brown, the 2009 WORCS champion, will lead the way for KTM in 2011.

The KTM team will also have two-time XC2 GNCC champion Kailub Russell and JNCC final winner Cory Buttrick competing for the GNCC team. Charlie Mullins will also see some action in the GNCC series, and he will also represent KTM/FMF as he attempts to defend his National Enduro title. Russel Bobbitt, a 3-time National Enduro Champion, will also ride on a KTM bike in 2011.

“FMF has been a strong supporter of our off-road racing team effort for many years. Their product is reliable, powerful, and helps our team excel at the top level. They have been a contributing factor to our team's success and we are proud to work with them for the next three-years,” said Antii Kallonen, FMF/KTM Factory Off-Road Team Manager.

But FMF and KTM will be doing more than just racing this season. The two will also be partnering for numerous endeavors that will benefit the sport of off-road racing. KTM has just joined FMF's Take 20 promotion, which gives a 20% discount on FMF KTM PowerParts exhaust systems to KTM customers.

“FMF Racing has been a part of this sport since 1973 and it is companies like KTM and their athletes that have helped us become the #1 off-road exhaust system,” said Donny Emler Jr., the Marketing Director of FMF Racing.

KTM and FMF will kick off their renewed relationship on January 23rd, as Kurt Caselli starts the 2011 off-road racing season at the Hare & Hound Series.
