The 2010 AMA/Kenda National Hare & Hound Championship just wrapped up a few days ago and the AMA already has the 2011 season scheduled. Of course, this is almost standard practice with most series – there are some exceptions. Kendall Norman took the 2010 Hare & Hound championship in a close points race with David Kamo which came down to the penultimate round.
The Hare & Hound series is a serious test of desert racing skills and endurance which puts both man and machine to the test. This year the AMA will again partner with the National Hare & Hound Association (NHHA), which is responsible for promoting the series throughout the US. The 2010 season was quite successful with the new partnership working exceptionally well for all involved. The hope is that the contingency payments will continue their upward trend this next year as well.
The 2011 series will begin on 23 January at the Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Area outside of Lucerne, California. Idaho and Utah will also be paid a visit in the nine round Championship.
