A few short weeks after the AMA Daytona Sportbike season came to a close, Josh Herrin and his Graves Yamaha team have agreed to continue their relationship through the 2012 season.Herrin had a successful 2010 season, and was in the title hunt up until the final checkered flag flew. Herrin captured 5 wins during the 2010 season, and finished third in the overall standings.
"Josh is a tremendous talent and during his four years with us his results have just continued to get better and better," said Keith McCarty "It's unfortunate that he just missed the Championship this year but that extra experience will only work in his favor and we're delighted to have him back on the team."
Herrin has been apart of the Graves Yamaha team for the past four seasons. Herrin finished 2nd in the overall standings in 2009, 3rd this year, and has his sights set on the top of the podium for 2011.
"I am very excited to have signed another 2 years with Yamaha and Graves Motorsports" said Josh. "It's my goal to win the Daytona Sportbike Championship and after coming so close two years in a row I am more determined than ever. I would like to thank Keith McCarty and everyone at Yamaha as well as Chuck Graves for believing in me and giving me another shot at the title. My Yamaha R6 is a proven winner and I know it will help me tremendously in my fight. I am looking forward to returning to Daytona next spring to defend my win there and begin the 2011 season."
