For the fourth time this season, Tommy Hayden has crossed the finish line in first. Hayden beat out favorite Josh Hayes, and pole sitter Ben Bostrom for today's win at the Virginia International Raceway. Hayes doubled up in '09, and was the race favorite going into today's contest. But Hayes could only manage a third place finish behind Hayden and Bostrom.
Hayes continues to lead the AMA Superbike division, but only by a single point. Hayden has closed the gap with today's win, and currently sits with 332 points, behind Hayes' 333.
