AMA Superbike - Josh Hayes took his fourth win of the AMA Superbike series during Saturday's race at Mid-Ohio. Hayes went into today's race just one point behind Tommy Hayden, and is now the leader of the AMA Superbike series.
Hayes got a off to a quick start, and was able to hold his lead for the entire 21 lap race. His Graves Yamaha teammate Ben Bostrom gave him the most competition, but Bostrom was never able to find his way around Graves.
Hayden pulled it together in the closing laps to pass up Larry Pegram for the last spot on the podium. Hayden's third place keeps Hayes within striking distance. Hayden is now ten points behind on the overall leader board.
AMA Daytona Sportbike - Josh Herrin took the win in the Daytona Sportbike race, in a decision that came down to just .045 seconds. Herrin narrowly beat out Bobby Fong to extend his championship lead. It was Fong's first podium finish of his AMA career.
AMA Supersport - J.D. Beach continued his spectacular season by scoring his fourth win in five races at Mid-Ohio. Beach got off to a quick start, and grew his lead to over twenty seconds by the races end. Cameron Beaubier was next across the line, and Dustin Dominguez finished third.
