Josh Hayes Takes Valuable Pole Position

At the end of the qualifying sessions at Mid-Ohio for the AMA Superbike, Josh Hayes found himself sitting in the pole position. Hayes earned his 3rd pole position of 2010 with a 1'25.610 lap time at just over 100 mph.

Tommy Hayden, who leads the series by just one point ahead of Hayes, finished in second, just .02 seconds behind. Ben Bostrom will be starting from the third position on the grid, follwed by Larry Pegram to finish off the front row.

Jake Zemke and Jake Holden also had impressive times around the Mid-Ohio track. The top six riders all finished below the 1'26 mark.

In the Daytona Sportbike, Josh Herrin will be starting from the pole position, followed by Danny Eslick and Steve Rapp.

J.D. Beach and Cameron Beaubier will be the first off the line in the SuperSport division.
