The UK portion of the TTXGP has begun, and Jim Lovell, an 18 year old from Poole, has taken the first race win.
Lovell won the electric motorcycle race, which took place at the Snetterton race circuit in Norfolk, for the Tork India racing team in a heated battle with Team Agni racers Rob Moon and Jenny Tinmouth.
Lovell also took the Green Speed award by setting a 1 minute and 27.6 seconds, with an average speed of 80.22 mph. There are ten teams competing this year in the UK portion of the TTGXP.
Top riders from three different regions, North America, Northern Europe, and Southern Europe, will meet in October for the TTXGP finals.
The American portion of the TTXGP is already on underway, with Shawn Higbee of Zero Motorcycles-Agni taking the race 1 win, and Michael Barnes of Lightning Motors taking race 2.
The next UK TTXGP race will be held at Angelsey on July 24th and 25th.
