The second round of the TTXGP got underway today at Road America, an added treat to AMA Pro Racing fans. The cool, dry conditions were perfect for the zero carbon bikes, which were having trouble the past few days from the heat and humidity in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
Michael Barnes, who was riding the no. 80 Lightning Motors bike took top honors at round two, despite starting at the back of the pack. Barnes averaged 80.402 mph around the 4.05 mile circuit over the five lap race.
Zoe Rem also made history today, becoming the first woman to step onto a TTXGP podium. Rem took second place on her AGNI Motors bike, ahead of Thad Wolf and Team Electra.
