Josh Hayes was in top form around the Road America track, claiming his third consecutive win in the AMA Pro Racing Superbike season. Hayes beat out Tommy Hayden in a photo finish.
When it came down to the checkered flag, only .001 seconds separated Hayes from Hayden. A margin that was too small to see with the naked eye. Hayes was initially given second place, but upon closer inspection, the Team Graves Yamaha rider was able to just hold off Hayden.
Hayden and Hayes pulled away from the pack early on, and were clearly one another's only competition.
Hadyen's teammate Blake Young was manage to hold off Larry Pregram for the third place finish, while Jake Zemke was able to hold onto fifth place.
With his third consecutive win, Hayes is now on top of the leader board. Hayes is in the lead with 202, followed closely by Hayden who now has 199. Zemke was ranked first coming into the weekend, he is now in third with 194.
