The typical tranquility that rests in the forests of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, will be interrupted as the AMA Pro Road Racing Championship will enter round five at the forest track. The Superbike, Daytona Sportbike, and Supersport classes will all have a double header this weekend around the 4.05 mile Road America track. AMA Pro Racing fans will also get the special treat of seeing the second round of the TTXGP zero carbon racing series. AMA Superbike Preview
In the American Superbike class, Josh Hayes has the momentum going into this weekends race. Hayes is coming off of a double win at the Infineon Raceway, and sits just 8 points back behind season leader, Jake Zemke. If Hayes wants to win though, he'll have to push his bike to the limits down the three straightaways at Road America.
Zemke is coming off of his worst weekend so far this season, with a fourth and a sixth place finish, but still holds a 4 point lead over Tommy Hayden and 8 points over Hayes. Zemke started the season off with double wins, but hasn't seen the top of the podium since. Hayden's teammate, Blake Young, who currently sits in forth, will get a chance to get back to his roots around the Wisconsin track. Hayden grew up on the Road America track, and will look for a boost from his friends and family.
Daytona Sportbike
In the Sportbike class, Danny Eslick will look to capitalize on the momentum from his win at Infineon. Eslick leads the Sportbike series by ten points, but only has one win to his name.
Second place Josh Herrin sits ten points behind Eslick, but it is Martin Cardenas who will be the man to beat in Wisconsin. Cardenas has four wins this seasons, but two poor finishes drop the Columbian down to third, 35 points behind Eslick.
Supersport
Elena Myers made history at Infineon by becoming the first woman to win an AMA race. Myers will be looking to make Suzuki go pink for the second race in a row.
