The West Coast Motor Jam at the Infineon Raceway had a special event as the TTXGP made its first appearance on American soil. The zero carbon racing season kicked off along the California coast in Sonoma.
The historic eGrand Prix event was heavily anticipated, and the zero carbon bikes delivered on an exciting racing day. Shawn Higbee took the first win of the season for the TTXGP for Zero Motorcycles-Agni.
Higbee took the win at the Infineon Raceway by more than 13 seconds. Michael Barnes was the next across the line for Lightning Motorcycles, and Mike Hannas completed the podium for Electric Race Bikes.
"When you have the first of anything, you never fully know what to expect, but the bikes were fast, the racing was competitive and the, spectacle of speed with no engine noise was truly remarkable," said president and general manager of the Infineon Raceway, Steve Page.
The TTXGP will move to Wisconsin for its next race on June 14th.
