Josh Hayes Goes Two for Two at Infineon

ama_superbike_HayesJosh Hayes and the Graves Yamaha team took both race wins at the Infineon Raceway during the West Coast Motor Jam. Hayes started from pole position, but had to fight back after a poor start.

Larry Pregram got the early jump during the second race of the West Coast Motor Jam, as Hayes fell behind. But Hayes quickly turned up the speed and by lap 6, Hayes had regained the lead.

After Hayes had the lead, the gap started to widen. At the checkered flags, Hayes had established a three and a half second lead ahead of Ben Bostrom. Larry Pegram was the next across the line, six and a half seconds back.

Tommy Hayden came in fourth, with his teammate, Blake Young, finishing off the top five.

Spots four through nine were all held by Suzuki’s, and Geoff May took the tenth spot with the highest ranked Buell.
