Kurtis Roberts has been apart of the AMA Pro Road Racing circuit for a long time. His last race, however, was in October of 2008. Roberts will be rejoining the AMA Pro Road Racing circuit as the series heads to the Infineon Raceway this weekend. "With the race in our own backyard, it was a perfect time to give it a shot,” said Roberts. “My last race was in October of 2008. It’s been difficult to put together my own team with the current economy, and I've tried to find and do it all by myself as best I can, but it just comes down to the lack of funding available."
Roberts will be joining the Ace Racing team on a Yamaha R1 provided by team owner Ace Robey.
“I'm hungry for the track and all its excitement,” said Roberts. “I've missed the feel of race day, the feel you get when you hit the grid, seeing the stands full of fans, and I've truly missed my friends."
Roberts has won multiple championships throughout his career, including two for the AMA Formula Xtreme class, and one in the AMA Supersport class. Roberts also has international experience racing in the 250cc World Championship, as well as the World Superbike Championship.
