Last year, the Time Trial Xtreme Grand Prix had its first race at the Isle of man. Now, the zero carbon TTXGP will make its way over to The United States for the first zero carbon race on American soil.
The TTXGP will be racing at Infineon Raceway during the AMA Superbike event on May 14th. More than ten teams are expected to converge on Sonoma Valley, including local teams from San Fransisco, Oakland, and San Mateo.
The egrand prix will also travel to Wisconsin, Canada, and Virginia to complete the North American tour. The TTXGP will also have races in the UK and Italy before the season wraps up in Spain in October.
Unlike other World Championship series, riders are only required to compete on their local circuits. The top 8 teams from each local circuit, North America, Northern Europe, and Southern Europe, will advance to Spain for the final race.
These zero carbon motorcycles already have the capability to exceed 170 miles per hour, and the technology keeps advancing. TTXGP racing demonstrates the possibilities of alternative fuels and advanced technologies.
