Press Release

AMA NJMP Extras

Fans visiting the AMA Pro Superbike Championships this weekend, September 4-6, at New Jersey Motorsports Park will find plenty of activities at the Millville, N.J. facility besides racing.

Two of the best known stunt riding teams will be thrilling crowds throughout the weekend. Jason Britton, star of SPEED’s hit television show “Superbikes”, will be a featured part of the weekend along with his Team No Limit. Britton and his team will entertain crowds with wheelies, handstands, and other spectacular tricks during three shows each day.

Red Bull’s Aaron Colton will also be entertaining the crowd with his bike control and stunt show. The youngster’s performances, however, will have to be scheduled around his on-track activities, as the stunt rider is making a crossover into road racing. Colton will race the Moto-GT and Supersport class during the AMA Superbike Championships weekend.

One of the unique aspects of New Jersey Motorsports Park is the opportunity to get up close and personal with your favorite racers. Every ticket includes a paddock and garage pass at no additional charge, allowing access to the race teams.

AMA Pro Racing, with New Jersey Motorsports Park, promotes an all-rider autograph session on the Officer’s Club deck on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. At 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday, fans are invited to take a walk on pit lane to view the race bikes ready to roll (American Superbike on Saturday, Daytona SportBike on Sunday) and participate in the opening ceremonies.

To truly share the emotion with your favorite rider, however, fans should visit victory circle at the conclusion of every race. Victory circle is located near turn one and has access to the podium ceremonies close enough for fans to be sprayed with victory champagne.

A kid’s zone, featuring inflatable games and activities, is available at every event at New Jersey Motorsports Park, including the AMA Superbike Championships. Of course, children 12 and under receive free admission to events at the Park.

If shopping is your thing, over 40 vendors will make up the vendor row in the paddock at New Jersey Motorsports Park. From collectibles to motorcycle tires to riding gear, vendors of all sizes and with a variety of products will be on hand.

All of this is in addition to the wheel-to-wheel on-track activity of AMA Pro Road Racing. The American Superbike and Daytona SportBike riders will race on both Saturday and Sunday. Friday features qualifying for the top classes and a full day of practice. The SunTrust Moto-GT endurance series races Saturday and the Supersport class races on Sunday, in addition to the Superbike and SportBike activities.

For more information on tickets, including the all-inclusive Superbike Club and Sportbike Club ticket packages for the AMA Superbike Championships, visit www.njmp.com or call New Jersey Motorsports Park at (856) 327-7217.
