Ducati had a pretty good year in 2011, The Italian company announced today that its sales grew 43% in 2011 compared to 2010.
Ducati also saw record growth in North America which became the company's number one market for the first time in history.
"Growth in the North American market is a top priority for Ducati," said Cristiano Silei, Chief Executive Officer of Ducati North America. "North America's outstanding performance significantly contributed to Ducati's global success in 2011, which has been a record year for us in terms of global sales, market share and profitability. This year the company made substantial investments in new product, key personnel and in the strength of our distribution network. These elements, combined with an array of extraordinary products, including our new Superbike, the 1199 Panigale, will continue to fuel our growth in 2012 and beyond."
Ducati's growth was fueld by the award winning Diavel and Multistrada. The Diavel was voted "Best Cruiser of 2011" by several publications and the Multistrada was named "Best Open Street Bike."
Ducati expects the new 1199 Panigale to help the company continue to grow in 2012. Ducati is also launching a new retail identity initiative this year.
