Zero Motorcycles Introduces the XU Urban Crosser [Video] Hot

zeru_xu_urbanZero Motorcycles has just unveiled the fifth motorcycle in their lineup. The Urban Crosser. Zero has already developed electric street bikes, dirt bikes, and dual sport bikes, and now they've added the Urban Crosser to their lineup.

The Urban Crosser was designed with the city commute in mind. It has features like a removable battery pack so that you can charge up your bike in the coffee shop or at the office.

"With instant torque from zero rpm, a low weight, a low seat height and a removable power pack, the Zero XU is the ultimate electric motorcycle for those who live in the city," Zero says on their website. "Designed to be incredibly robust and durable, it leverages the time tested Zero X platform and features a complete set of specialized street gear that is highlighted by a stylish body. In addition, its comfortable riding position and no-shift operation allows riders of any experience level to feel both comfortable and confident."

Zero says that the Urban Crosser is the first electric motorcycle that allows riders to charge anywhere. The removable power pack also means that riders can charge and use multiple power packs, meaning that the ride never really has to end.

The Zero Urban has a maximum range of about 30 miles, and can be completely charged in less than two hours. Batteries should last about 36,000 miles, and can propel the Zero Urban Crosser up to 51 mph.

Here's a video on the new Zero Urban Crosser.
