The 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 1000: The New Ninja Hot

Ninja_1000_SMALLIf you want a reliable sportbike, you can't go wrong with a Kawasaki Ninja. The Ninja has been a staple of the motorcycle world for nearly three decades, and Kawasaki continue to improve on their design.

For 2011, Kawasaki is releasing the Ninja 1000. A bike that is sure to keep Kawasaki at the top of the sportbike game and at the cutting edge of the industry. The Ninja 1000 blends power with technology, giving you everything you need for the racetrack or the interstate.

The Ninja 1000 has an advanced open-class powerplant, 1,043cc, DOHC, liquid cooled engine, with a 16-valve inline-four featuring a long-stroke design. Basically, the Ninja 1000 has more power than you need. The electronic fuel injection gives an instant response, warm or cold, to shoot you down the highway or to accelerate out of turns.

The Ninja 1000 is great off the line, but it's the mid-range thrust that will truly amaze you. Adding a quick 10mph to any speed is just aNinja_1000_horizontal_shock_SMALL simple touch of the throttle on the Ninja 1000.

But the Ninja 1000 isn't all about speed. OK, it's mostly about speed, but without the cutting edge technology on the bike, your speed wouldn't feel so smooth. The Ninja has four 38mm Keihin downdraft throttle bodies that perfectly mix fuel and air in the combustion chamber. The balance shaft driven crankshaft makes the powerful engine purr smoothly, and the 4-into-2-into-2 catalyzer exhaust system gives the bike a mean sound while putting out the cleanest possible emissions.

The lightweight aluminum frame is narrow at the waist, giving the rider superb stability and handling. Couple that with the adjustable shock system and the racing-spec brakes, and the Ninja 1000 is a smooth ride for pothole-infested city streets, or for backroad sport riding.

The 2011 Ninja 1000 has the power for the track, the comfort for the road, and the suspension for city streets. It's versatile bike worthy of carrying the Kawasaki Ninja name.
