The 2011 Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Valquero: What the Cowboys Ride Hot

Vulcan_1700_Vaquero_SMALLIt doesn't take long to find something impressive about Kawasaki's new Vulcan, the 1700 Valquero. It's long, low, wide, and sleek, and every inch of the bike is covered with some sort of luxury feature.

Starting with the hard saddlebags, which are hard to notice at first look because they are blend perfectly with the lines of the bike, and ending with the custom fairing, the Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Valquero gives you as much function as you need, while maintaining its eye-candy design.

The Valquero is almost entirely blacked out, like a shadow on wheels. The little bits of chrome that do show, on the engine guards, exhaust, mirror, etc... give a beautiful counterpoint of light on an otherwise menacingly dark machine.

But enough with the looks. If all you need is a bike to polish, the Valquero will be unappreciated sitting in your garage. The Valquero hasVulcan_1700_Vaquero_fairing_SMALL it's eye on the horizon, and with the tried, tested, and proven Vulcan 1700 V-twin engine, it has plenty of power to get you there.

The 1700 V-twin engine might look a throw back to the past, but the overhead cams, high compression, and long stroke dimensional design, the Valquero engine is a modern marvel that you will send you down the highways for days at a time. And with 108 foot-pounds of torque, you can pull the throttle back at almost any speed to give yourself a sudden surge of power.

The engine has the power you need, but the throttle has the comfort you desire for a cross country, or cross town trip. The advanced electronic fuel injection system is sure to get you the most out of your motorcycle. The Valquero throttle feels like a natural throttle, but gives you the advantage of hands free motorcycle warm-up, cruise control, better fuel economy, and automatic adjustment for altitude. The bike also features overdrive 5th and 6th gears for extended highway driving, maximizing your fuel so you can stay on the road more, and at the gas station less.

And if you're going to take advantage of the long road capability of the Valquero, you'll be pleased to know that the water-cooled alternator produces more than 45 amps of electrical output. Plug in your gloves, heated vest, GPS, hell, a flat screen TV if you want. The Valquero has more than enough power to go around.

The 2011 Kawasaki 1700 Valquero is a bike that will turn heads on the showroom floor, and throttles on the open road.
