Italian motorcycles made up the bulk of finalists and award winners in the annual “Most Beautiful Motorcycle of the Web” presented by infomotori.com, but the MV Agusta F4 took overall top honors in a landslide vote. The F4 also took the title of “Most Beautiful Sports Bike of the Web” over its Italian rival, the Aprilia RSV4R. The decision demonstrates for the world that the traits characteristic of Italian machines – ingenuity, design, creativity and abject beauty – do in fact breed very devout and fanatical fans all around the world.
The F4 won two awards, but MV Agusta was not finished raking in the accolades. Taking its victory over the highly lauded Kawasaki Z1000, the Brutale 1090RR won for “Most Beautiful Naked (motorcycle, obviously) on the Web.”
The Infomotori contest was simply overwhelmed by the Italian marque as they won in three categories of the six motorcycle slots. Other winners were the Moto Morini Granpasso in “Best Enduro”, the Ducati Multistrada 1200 as “Best Tourer”, and the Vespa LX Touring as “Best Scooter”. Given that the website is based in Italy, it should be obvious why Italian machines took all top awards, but the voting was open to everyone with an Internet connection.
However, even the authors of the contest results were astounded at how many votes MV Agusta received. Infomotori said that, “the absolute star was the MV Agusta.” Take a close look at the attached photos and you will see why.
