The 2009 Honda CBR1000RR boasts innovations such as Dual Stage Fuel Injection, Ignition Interrupt Control System, Combined ABS, Slipper Clutch, Honda Pro-Link Rear Suspension, Aluminum Chassis and Electronic Steering Damper. The new Honda CBR1000RR is the only production superbike with an Anti-lock Braking System. The Electronic Steering Damper varies the dampening rate according to speed and acceleration. The 999cc liquid-cooled, dual overhead cam four-cylinder breathes through a twin-tunnel ram-air system and receives its life-blood through two fuel injectors per cylinder. The close-ratio 6-speed transmission helps put the power to the ground, and the Ignition Interrupt Control System protects the transmission from hard shifts.
