On January 28, Harley-Davidson will liquidate the last of their Buell assets. Some will view this is an enormous garage sale, others will see the final nail driven into the Buell coffin, but all will get their chance to bring back a piece of motorcycle history.
The Buell company, based out of East Troy, Wis., ended its 26-year production run on Oct. 30, 2009; the company had produced over 135,000 motorcycles. Now that the factory has been shut down, all of the equipment that was once used to create Buell motorcycles will be sold by Liquid Asset Partners, a company based in Grand Rapids, Mich.
“Buell had a great run as a quality American motorcycle with fans worldwide," says Bill Melvin Jr., CEO of Liquid Asset Partners. "Buell spared no expense in making their beautiful bikes and in purchasing the factory equipment. There is a tremendous interest in the equipment and vehicles left in the factory and there are so many tools nobody will go home empty handed."
The liquidation sale will start on January 28, and continue for 30 days or until everything is sold. You can view pictures of all items for sale at www.liquidassetpartners.com.
