Roger Edmondson Leaving AMA Pro Racing due to Health Concerns
Effective January 1, Roger Edmondson will be stepping down from his position as Chief Executive Officer, Managing Member and Chairman of AMA Pro Racing.
The AMA said that Edmondson is leaving “to deal with some unforeseen health issues that necessitate his full attention.”
Edmondson, one of the original managing members of AMA Pro Racing, will still consult with management of AMA Pro Racing, but his duties will be divided between Managing Members David Atlas, Tom Bledsoe and Chris Harris.
“Roger’s health is first and foremost in our minds,” said David Atlas, Chief Operating Officer, AMA Pro Racing. “Roger’s significant, multi-decade contribution to motorcycle racing is well known but nothing is more important than his health.”
