The People 150 Hot

John Campbell
Staff Writer

Some say it’s all about the journey, not the destination. With the Kymco People 150 scooter, truer words were never spoken. The People 150 was designed with fun in mind. Start the engine, twist the throttle and off you go.

The Kymco People 150 offers a large, comfortable seat, making it possible for two riders to share the fun. With a 150cc air-cooled engine, you’ll have enough get-up-and-go to propel the scooter to at least 60 mph. And one very nice thing any rider will love about this scooter is the large 1.8 gallon gas tank giving you a cruising range of over 150 miles; you’ll be spending less time at the gas station and more time out on the road. Just imagine riding all day and using less than two gallons of gas.

Ample under-seat storage provides enough room to hold your helmet. Large, 16-inch wheels, telescopic front fork and a dual shock rear suspension soak up all the rough spots in the road. Stopping power is provided by front and rear disc brakes. Along with the CVT automatic transmission, there’s no gear shifting involved so there’s less rider fatigue after a full day of riding.

The instrument cluster features a large analog speedometer with an easy-to-read gas gauge (not that you need one with the gas mileage the scooter gets).

Another nice thing about this scooter is the huge selection of available color choices. From black/ivory and blue/ivory to green/white, wineberry and silver, the hardest decision you may have to make is deciding what color to get.

Kymco has several accessories for the People 150 scooter. Some of those accessories like the Kymco Sport Windshield and the Kymco Touring Windshield will help keep you out of the elements while adding a stylish touch to the scooter. For utility and style, consider adding a Shad top case to the back of the scooter. These sleek cases are customizable by simply adding color plates to give the bike a distinctive accent unique to your taste. The top cases can hold from 26 liters (a little over 27 quarts) up to 45 liters (a little over 47 quarts) and the larger models have an integrated backrest so a passenger can lean back and enjoy the ride.

Kymco has a saying, "Choose your Own Path" and the cool People 150 scooter allows you to do just that.
