Honda releases info on the 2010 Sabre, Stateline, Interstate, Shadow RS and ST1300
American Honda released information about five new 2010 models, four of them V-Twin cruisers, and a V-4 Sport Tourer: the Sabre, Stateline, Interstate, Shadow RS and the ST1300.
This is the fourth release of additional 2010 models from American Honda Motor Company’s Powersports Division adding to the lineup that includes the VFR1200F, NT700V, Shadow Phantom and DN-01.
“These five street bikes add even more excitement to our lineup for 2010,” said Powersports Press Manager Bill Savino. “Four of these bikes are new V-twins that dramatically expand our line of cruisers. The Sabre, Stateline, Interstate and Shadow RS V-twins unveil new styling and functional variations for Honda buyers, and we’re excited about the new opportunities these machines present. The ST1300 continues to extend its reputation for long-haul performance with a sporting flair and it remains a popular choice among riders who live for the open road. This 2010 model year is shaping up very well, with lots of exciting options for Honda fans.”
ST1300
For the sport-touring folks, the ST1300 offers balance between power and handling, catering to long-distance travels. According to American Honda, the ST1300 is equipped with a powerful 1261cc V-4 engine and Honda’s sophisticated Programmed Fuel Injection, plus full-coverage bodywork, three-way adjustable rider’s seat, motor-driven adjustable windscreen, dual saddlebags and more.
The ST will be available with and without ABS in Black. The ST is expected to arrive in dealerships in March.

Sabre

This is the first of Honda’s 1300cc Custom Line. Adding to the V-twin cruiser line, the Honda Sabre is built to satisfy the rider who wants that classic feel with great ergonomics. The Sabre will come with a 1312cc, 52-degree V-twin powerplant, complete with Honda’s sophisticated Programmed Fuel Injection, and be available with Anti Lock Braking.
The Sabre will be available in Black and Candy Red, and is expected in dealerships March; ABS model April.

Stateline

A mix of classic and newer cruiser styles, the Honda Stateline brings low lines and deeply valanced fenders to Honda’s 1300cc Custom Line for 2010. Featuring the same 1312cc, 52-degree V-twin with Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection as the others in the 1300 custom line, the Stateline provides retro looks with power.
The Stateline will be available with or without ABS in Black and Candy Dark Red, and is expected in dealerships in February; ABS model March.

Interstate

The last model in the 1300cc Custom Line is the Interstate, a cruiser made for some serious distance without sacrificing style. Besides the 1312 cc, 52-degree V-twin, American Honda says the Interstate will come standard with stylish hard leather bags offer ample room for a long getaway, with a traditional windscreen and floorboards delivering all-day riding comfort for those extra-long hauls.
The Interstate will be available in Black and Pearl Blue, and is expected in dealerships in February.

Shadow RS
The Shadow RS offers agile handling combined with the liquid-cooled 745cc V-twin with Programmed Fuel Injection. The bike has clean lines, standard riding ergonomics and higher pegs for enhanced ground clearance.
The Shadow RS will be available in Metallic Gray and Pearl White, and is expected to be in dealerships in March.
