BMW R 1200 GS Motorcycle Hot

The world is a place to be explored, so don't let the road, or lack thereof, determine your path. The BMW R 1200 GS is a bike without boundaries. Cross the country along the interstates, or through muddy back roads, the BMW GS is a bike that doesn't care where you go, as long as you go.

A few years ago the GS model was popularized by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman as they took their GS Adventurers across the globe. Since the making of Long Way Round, the adventurous duo have completed another epic Journey through Africa, and plan on a South American journey in the coming year. The bike of choice through all of their adventures has been the BMW R 1150 GS Adventurer.

But BMW is not content with the 1150 and this year released its big brother, the 1200. The BMW GS 1200 has all the capabilities of the BMW GS 1150 but with a few added extras to help bring you across the globe. The 1200 features a flat twin boxer engine and a 6 speed shaft drive. The bike is made with a dual section frame with adjustable suspension for maximum comfort and ability on any terrain; double floating disk brakes on the front, single disk on the back, as well as optional ABS.

This bike sheds the weight of the common tourer, weighing in dry at 492 lbs, but does not sacrifice speed or power with 105hp, max torque of 85lb/ft at 5,750 rpm. The BMW GS 1200 is a bike to be reckoned with on any terrain. The BMW GS has a top speed of over 120 mph and receives an estimate of fifty miles to the gallon on its 8.7 gallon tank. Why would you tour with any other bike?

The BMW GS 1200 Adventurer has the capability to take you across the country on long paved highways. It also gives you the freedom to ditch the interstate and explore the back roads. If you want a bike without limits, the BMW GS 1200 Adventurer is what you’ve been looking for.
