It's been a good week for classic motorcycle sales. The Du Pont collection brought in more than a million dollars at a Bonhams Auction earlier this week, and today, Auctions America announced that the Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction brought in more than $4.1 million.
The Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction had 490 motorcycles on the auction block at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino last weekend. People came in from 35 states and 10 countries to bid on classic motorcycles like the 1910 Flying Merkel.
"We are extremely pleased by the response and outcome of the sale," said Auctions America President Donnie Gould. "It exceeded our expectations for a first-time event, and we received nothing but positive feedback from the buyers, sellers and attendees on the quality and diversity of the offering, event presentation and our dedicated client service."
Here are some of the highlights from the auction.
1964 Ducati 250 F3 Corsa - $81,200

1910 Flying Merkel - $77,500

1926 Cleveland Fowler - $76,160
