Harley-Davidson has always been a strong supporter of the men and women in the US military, but during Military Appreciation Month, the American motorcycle company really takes it up a notch. Harley will be teaming up with the United Service Organization to show its support for the US military.
Harley-Davidson will be accepting donations from now until the end of the year at its nearly 650 dealerships. The donations will be used to create care packages for troops overseas.
"We're honored to support such a well-respected organization as part of our military appreciation efforts this year," said Mike McCann, Director of Core Customer and Military Marketing for Harley-Davidson. "We want to show our support for those living away from home and protecting our country."
Harley will also be throwing a military-only concert in San Diego. The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club will play in San Diego on December 1st to an all-military crowd. Harley will also arrange a motorcycle trip with the Black Rebel Motorcycle club for one service member.
The Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee will give free entree to current and past military members and their families on November 5th and 6th. All of the care packages sent overseas will also include tickets to the museum. Harley estimates that it will give away 250,000 tickets.
