You see that? That used to be a Can-Am Spyder. Marcus Benard, a Defensive End for the Cleveland Browns, crashed his motorcycle into the median on I-71 after leaving practice on Monday and broke his hand.
Benard, who led the Browns in sacks last season, was placed on the reserve non-football injury list this morning, ending his season just four games in.
Police didn't give an exact speed but said that Benard was driving at a "high rate of speed." According to the SF Gate, Benard was thrown nearly 80 yards after the crash.
Coach Pat Shurmur said that he was not aware that Benard rode a motorcycle.
"I have addressed the team on numerous occasions," Benard said. "We want and I want our players to avoid any and all risky behavior. I think it's obvious what some of that may be. It's been addressed. Obviously, when something happens you try to reinforce that."
Benard was charged after the crash for reckless driving and driving without a license.

I'm guessing someone doesn't know what "risky behavior" really is. Riding a motorcycle isn't as risky as taking a shower, where the CPSC says 110,000 fall down and suffer an injury every year!
