The head of the San Jose chapter of the Hells Angels was killed last week during a shooting at a Nevada hotel. The shooting, which occurred during the Streets Vibration Festival in Sparks, Nevada, killed Jeffrey "Jethro" Pettigrew and injured two more Hells Angles. Police have arrested and are holding Cesar Villagrana on three felony charges.
Villagrana is currently the only suspect in the Hells Angels shooting. Villagrana, a member of the Gilroyan Hells Angels, was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a stolen firearm.
Police say that they have Villagrana on video shooting his gun into the crowd at the Nevada Hotel. Police have not confirmed, however, that Villagrana shot any of the three victims.
According to the Gilroy Dispacth, the firefight during the Street Vibrations Festival involved close to 60 people from both the Hells Angels and rival motorcycle gang, the Vagos.
Police are still reviewing the video, talking to witnesses, and looking for other people involved in the shooting.
From a statement from the Sparks Police Department:
"Sparks Police Department personnel are continuing to conduct follow-up interviews with responding officers from local law enforcement agencies and additional witnesses from inside of John Ascuaga's Nugget."
