Everyday we take another step closer to never having to take a step again. The latest innovation in mobility comes from the Portland, Oregon company Ryno Motors. It's called a Micro-Cycle, and it looks a whole lot cooler than a segway.
Ryno said in a statement:
"The Micro-Cycle is lightweight, highly maneuverable, multi-purpose; has a small footprint, is customizable, and has a unique one-wheel design. RYNO is on a mission to offer cost competitive, energy efficient, personal transportation products allowing consumers to move through their community, business and environment in a highly efficient manner. RYNO is well positioned to ride the wave of the growing demand for urban commute vehicles driven by urban congestion, fuel costs, and the sustainability movement."
RYNO has built 50 pre-production Micro-Cycles that they are selling for $25,000. The company isn't releasing too many details about the design yet, but ZDNet reports that the electric motor(uni)cycle will get about 20 miles per charge. The cost will also come down considerably (to around four grand) once the RYNO Mico-Cycle goes into production.
RYNO said that the design features will be made public next month during a series of "high-profile" media events.
