What do you do when you're a world class athlete with a season ending injury? If you're Travis Pastrana, you pick up a big plastic red rifle and start shooting virtual animals. Pastrana may be out of motorcycle stunting competition for a while, but Pastrana is still keeping himself busy with a new...er.... sport. Pastrana is competing in the 2011 Big Buck Hunt World Championship.
Sitting in a Lay-Z Boy at a bar (I have no idea how he got that chair in there), Pastrana is working on his skills for Big Buck Hunt. Grind TV reports that Pastrana has already made if through to the regionals, and will compete in the main event on September 24th in Chicago.
But Big Buck Hunt isn't just something to pass the time. Apparently Pastrana is a pretty serious virtual hunter. The Freestyle Motorcycle king took 8th place during the 2010 Big Buck Hunt World Championship. Now, with nothing to do but sit back and shoot imaginary deer, Pastrana could be aiming for the Big Buck Hunt title.
Doubt Pastrana's virtual hunting skills. Here's a video of the man in action.
