Alberto Granado, Che Guevara’s Motorcycle Companion, Dies at Age 88 Hot

alberto_granado_and_che_guevaraIn the 1950s, Che Guevara took a legendary motorcycle ride through South America that changed his life. The trip shaped Guevara’s political views, and has been immortalized in various books and documentaries, including The Motorcycle Diaries. Che’s motorcycle companion on this now historic trip, Alberto Granado, passed away today at the age of 88.

The movie The Motorcycle Diaries was based on the diary kept by Guevara and Granado during the trip, as well as Granado’s best selling book, Travelling with Che Guevara: The Making of a Revolutionary.If you haven't seen The Motorcycle Diaries, here's a little taste.

 

Granado requested that his body be cremated and scattered throughout Argentina, Cuba, and Venezuela.
