The AMA, American Motorcyclist Association, teams with World of Powersports to help boost membership in the AMA. World of Powersports was recently the presenting sponsor for the AMA Racing Championship Banquet last year.
At this banquet Mike Jackson, director of business development for World of Powersports, said that "In addition to supporting the AMA Racing Championship Banquet, the company recognizes the value of backing motorcycling’s leading advocacy organization.
It is time for America’s dealerships and distributors to take an active role in supporting the work of the AMA and bringing value to the AMA membership,” Jackson said. “World of Powersports plans to lead the way.”
Fast forward to January 28, 2011 and the AMA is announcing an AMA Dealer Incentive Program that rewards dealers who offer their customers the valuable benefits of AMA membership. The program will officially launch at the 2011 Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo Feb. 18-20 in Indianapolis. Information will be available at the AMA booth number 4231 or World of Powersports booth number 4753.
"Supporting the organization that fights for motorcyclists' rights and promotes the sport we all love is just good long-term business sense," said Mike Jackson, director of business development at World of Powersports. "With the AMA's long list of member benefits, we also help our customers in the process. Now, thanks to the AMA Dealer Incentive Program, when we become the AMA's partner in protecting the future of motorcycling, the benefits to our businesses are even more direct."
With this type of rollout and backing by such a major player in the motorcycle industry the AMA Dealer Incentive Program should be an item that every dealer in the motorcycle industry should be looking into. There is no cost for dealers to join the AMA Dealer Incentive Program.
