S&S Cycle's KN-Kone Engine has just been awarded the Engine of the Year Award. The KN-Kone Engine is a new product from S&S Cycle, a high performance V-Twin Manufacturer, and is being sold under the S&S Flathead Power brand of vintage motorcycle parts.

S&S VP of Product Development Scott Sjovall, and Flathead Power product line manager Eric Wangen accepted the award on Friday, February 6th, at a ceremony at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati during the 2011 V-Twin expo. Wangen, who was the driving force behind the KN-Kone, said that it "would at least be an 11" on a scale to 10.

S&S Cycles says that the KN-Kone Engine can be dropped into any 1970-1999 big V-twin chassis. According to a press release, the KN-Kone is a "cool combination that looks like a knucklehead top end grafted to an alternator style shovelhead crankcase," and combines the "extensive selection of high quality vintage engines and components in the Flathead Power product line."
