Good news on for the new years as Kawasaki has resolved the problem with the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R. Kawasaki factory engineers have worked hard over the holiday season and the motorcycle should be ready general release on January 27th across the UK. Michael Johnstone congratulated the KHI engineers for their work in advance of the anticipated start of sales in late January.
“While we have been thinking about Christmas and the New Year at this festive time, a team of engineers in Japan have been exhaustively testing new high performance components for the stunning new Ninja ZX-10R. With the dealer launch of this and other incoming range models on 27 January across the UK, this news is the best possible start to 2011 for Kawasaki dealers and riders”.
Good news on this side of the pond came from another source that will make all happy, Costco and Kawasaki joining forces. Get your mega size portions of food with a Kawasaki on the side. Kawasaki Motors Corp., is the first OEM to sign on with Costco Wholesale for a pilot program in Southern California’s Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties. The trial effort involves a select number of dealerships that are served by 15 Costco warehouse stores, each of which have a display consisting of a motorcycle on a stand and promotional fliers. The program kicked off with KX motocross bikes, but will be expanded to include more models as it progresses.
The program is supposed to work in this manner, a Costco member contacts a store either by phone or online. Costco will get you referred to the nearest participating Kawasaki dealer close to your home. The member then goes to the dealership, presents his membership card and is provided with a copy of the member-only price sheet. Select the desired motorcycle model and the deal is done.
